I’m Dr. Howard Stribbell

Dr. Stribbell is not your average educational administrator. Armed with a PhD in Education, Technology, and Management, he combines strategic foresight with a genuine, human-centered approach to leadership. His career highlights include being the youngest principal in his district and founding multiple educational ventures that have transformed school cultures and improved enrollment.

In his TEDx-style keynote, “Unmasking the Real You: A Journey to Authenticity,” Howard shares his personal journey through challenges like insecurity and the pressure to conform. His insights emphasize that authenticity is a journey filled with complexities, and it is through embracing our imperfections that we can lead effectively.

Currently, Dr. Stribbell oversees several international schools, including The International School of Macao (TIS), Canadian International School of Phnom Penh (CISP), Lighthouse International School and British Columbia International School of Bangkok (BCISB). His leadership extends to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macau, where he serves as President, and he founded the Canadian Overseas Schools Association (COSA) and serves as the Chief Learning Officer for 21st Century Learning.

Howard’s commitment to education transcends traditional roles; he is frequently found engaging with students, believing that the heart of education lies in their experiences. His goal is to celebrate and replicate exemplary educational practices throughout Asia, particularly at Lighthouse International School of Phuket, where he currently serves as School Supervisor.
